Be more effective in missions and in your personal relationships by learning a new language and breaking cultural barriers! Come to our Tijuana del Mar campus for a month of intensive Spanish Language School.
Vision:
Our vision for the Language School is to offer a platform for men and women who have the desire to learn a foreign language in a short period of time. This platform is to serve individuals, small businesses, and Christian ministries in a Christian atmosphere.
Guarantee:
We guarantee you will acquire the ability to communicate in basic Spanish through the "Silent Way" method in a short period of time. Each student will receive 6 hours of class and 2 hours of activity time per day. Classes are held Monday through Friday.
Unique Cultural Experience:
An important aspect of the Language School is the environment. You will not only learn the language but will also be immersed in the Latin culture. While attending the school, you will be living at the YWAM Tijuana del Mar campus with other Spanish speaking and bi-lingual staff. There may also be opportunities to attend a local church, go shopping at a market, or visit other local attractions. These activities will give you an opportunity to learn the language in a more effective, dynamic way.
Dates:
• Arrival day: February 21, 2010, before 4 PM.
• School starts: February 22, 2010.
• Graduation: March 19, 2010.
• Departure day: March 20, 2010, after 11 AM.
Travel:
• Flights: please book your air travel to arrive and depart from the San Diego airport (SAN).
• Train: please arrive to the train station on Kettner Boulevard in San Diego.
• Car: click here for driving directions to our National City, CA, or Tijuana del Mar, Mexico, campuses. If you are planning on bringing your car into Mexico, it is strongly recommended to purchase Mexican Car Insurance for the duration of your stay. Ask the school registrar for more information.
Tuition:
There are three tuition levels. Please note the one that fits your situation. The cost of the tuition covers: housing, food, curriculum, school related transportation and other school activities.
• $520 USD – non-YWAMer
• $480 USD –YWAMers from other bases
• $360 USD – YWAM San Diego/Baja staff
